This is usually done every other time they are sold, unless a Master holds onto them for two years or more, then they must be appraised before they are resold. With such large amounts of money changing hands, buyers have to be able to trust the auctions and the quality of the merchandise. It’s important to make certain that the Boys are physically fit, mentally healthy, and that their service still meets the ratings that former Masters have given them, not to mention the gossip circulating about them in the community.Three Masters are chosen to do the appraisal. A Master has to have owned at least two slaves to have his name added to the lists that appraisers are chosen from. That is done in a way that gives everyone a chance at appraising the boys up for sale, but creates random pairings so that they are rarely in the same group.
